Well I sure have learned a lot in the last three years since getting divorced. Free at last, free at last!! What I've learned is that the only things any human being owes to any other human being are Honesty, Courtesy, and Fairness. Expecting anything else leads to heartache, but if you keep those three things in mind, no one gets hurt. If you're seeing multiple people at the same time, that's cool, but all of them need to know what the score is, and everyone needs to accept it. Adulthood and honesty are SO liberating!! I have been introduced to the concept of polyamory. Took me a long time to really understand it and let it work. But it's a les which, once learned, changes your life for the better in so many ways. This is not to say that if the right, absolutely perfect woman were to cross my path, and she felt I was right for her, and we explored for awhile and decided that we wanted to be exclusive with each other, that it's out the question. But that is no longer what I'm looking for, what I need, or what I expect. I am a reader. I am a music aficianado. I bike, I swim, and I laugh at people arguing politics on the internet. I have no interest in professional sports of any kind, ergo I do not have a "favorite team". Don't own a single sports team jersey or hat. I would rather connect with someone intellectually over coffee or beer or wine, then move on into the bedroom, then pick up a woman at a bar.
