Look Back, Look Ahead, Look Around

Look Back, Look Ahead, Look Around  I don't dwell on the past. However, I do evaluate what I have learned from each and every experience. I look ahead with anticipation for myself and hope for others. I look around and am always very aware of my surroundings. I am very comfortable offering help to others and have no difficulty speaking to strangers. However, I never assume what assistance they require. |

[image] Helping others is something that comes naturally to me. It's kind of ironic as I am not comfortable asking others for help. Perhaps it's the quest for ongoing independence or how I was raised. How do you "Look Back, Look Ahead or Look Around"?

One of the better philosophies! I too suffer from enjoying helping others but having a real difficulty asking for help. Never have been able to definitively figure out exactly why, but I accept it is the way I am wired. Nice post.

I met one of my neighbors one day when I was walking the dogs. He was struggling with a heavy item out of his truck. Offered some assistance and he was glad for it. He just needed to get the item onto a hand truck to move into the backyard.

Once again very true words and like you I am very much the same, always willing to help others but reluctant to ask for help. I hope you enjoy a Terrific Tuesday.. Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

I do have a few friends that not only don't want/won't ask for help, they get offended if I do anything more than ask "is there anything I can do?". I find it relatively easy to ask for help with tasks that require more physical assistance and I have gotten better at asking for and accepting emotional help. And I am honored when someone has the trust in me to ask me for help when they need it.

We all learn from our past good or bad It's weather you know what to do next time One never ask for help yet sure as they tell someone what they done That person asked why not ask for help. One most be aware of there surrounding People can be strange when they are stranger. How do you know untill you really know. If we only knew this back when we where younger Thing would be different

A simple ‘thank you’ is more than enough.
