My therapist is great at getting rid of all those knots in my body. She always reminds me a bath as soon as I get home and drink lots of water.

That's the difference between her and my ex used come up with all the nots, down the liquids and tell me take a cold shower.

Many dating sites have a heading entitled "My Perfect Match" or similar category waiting to be filled by the prospective searcher for online-generated romance. I read the same qualifications over and over again. Among the most common is the request (or is it a demand?) for "someone who is honest, down to earth, has a sense of humour and is financially independent." Well, all I can reply is, "C'mon girl, don’t bore me already!"

-- Would I really admit it if I were a lier who was just after your money or your body? Well, for the record, I am after your body, but I don't need to be dishonest about that.

-- And what, pray tell, does "down to earth" mean? Let me check the dictionary. Ah, it says here, "with no illusions or pretensions." But aren't you, by virtue of being on a dating site, already full of illusions? And aren't you pretending just a li'l bit to be a perfect li'l package for your knight in shining armor who's bound to rescue you upon your sweet cry for "help!" Well, I won't be your man because I have my head in the clouds just like you, and all I've got on for armour is a UA sweatshirt.

-- Finally, why does your guy need to have a sense of humour if you don't? You proved it by writing a dull profile.

I should been better prepared. Should known that first thing these dating websites make you do is come up with a profile . OK, quick now, what choose? I don't know what in the world made me choose TangoLuver. I guess I was digging into my past while trying to find a monicker nobody else had. But although I like to dance... Well, let's rewind for a moment.

I used to teach ballroom dancing. But that was in my twenties and thirties. And, don't laugh, the tango was my least favourite dance. Give me anything -- waltz, foxtrot, rumba, bolero, cha-cha... but from tango "I could get no satisfaction." Mind you, we're talking about ballroom tango. Besides, WaltzLuver doesn't quite the cache I was looking for.

In recent years I've watch a few films of people dancing an entirely different style of dance -- the Argentine tango. They're doing in movies such as "Evita", "Frieda", "Love and Dance". Instead of the rather stiff and formal tango I learned, those performances ooze passion and appeal. In fact, was once seen as "the music of the immoral factions of society".

I'm not sure if was that reputation which attracted me trying a few classes several years ago. At that time, unfortunately, my shift work played havoc with regular course attendance. Well, I'm making excuses. could be that as a former dancer I got impatient with my own slow progress. But time has moved on, and I now a 9-5 job and am ready try again -- if ever the damn Covid restrictions in my province are lifted.

Wish me well at some future milonga. Or some private lessons from you?
