Miracle Pills... and The Myth of Winning a Bet With the Devil... 😮❗  Momentarily captivated by some frightening images, he gratefully concluded that he couldn't have been happier with his gut.  Familiar phantoms and late-night zombies lazily nestled in between his ears and began whispering twisted vespers; images of his destiny flashed. He'd always counted blindness in his top three unwelcome fates; surrendering a brilliant auburn sunset would be unbearable.  Those evil ghosts continued - of course - and plastered him with cancer, a tedious and hapless spillage of one's guts into the abyss of endless pain and pharmaceuticals. Infinite torture is the word that came to his mind. Those ghoulish whisperers then rekindled an older memory. Once upon a time, he'd planned the perfect painless plot; in case he EVER lost a bet with the Devil. He had imagined a romantic summer car crash, yet he'd realized - no one could anticipate intersections. His fear? Despite unbuckled seatbelts, driving with the top-down and rocketing at speeds that would bleed outer limits, what IF he miraculously survived? Ugh. He wasn't a fan of vegetables. He sat there, shook the horror-filled visions out of his head, and fidgeted with the remote - once again. What had he been searching for? Oh yeah, porn.  He smiled to himself - as he admired those bayonets sawing through a brick - and realized he should probably watch less television. He was too easily impressed and influenced by the suggestive trance that tube induced. Yet, he was glad he'd learned - earlier - about hope and the miracle pill; and 'hope' is what drives us all, right? I shop; online for items that I like, and have used for years, but con no longer find in local (is 100 miles local?). Otherwise, I like to lay hands on the product first. Example: the old fashioned chopper mittens - leather outer mittens with rag wool liners are almost impossible to find locally, but were on the largest South American river site, home of mythical warrior women.

i admit i have been posting a lot of political posts in the last 10 mo. i did a repost on how to verbally describe color to a blind person. the first two colors listed was red and blue. but the list went on. and color was spelled colour. one of my die hard republican friends went off on me how this wasn't a fair description of red being the color of anger. i had to point out to her that this wasn't a political post!! i had grabbed the post from language nerds.

Guess I also prefer going to a store Paul, and buying the things I can see, and yes, touch! Um ..... and even smell! Hey, something like deoderant you'd need to smell, right? Cos so often the products I've always used - are not available anymore! Truly, most stuff I like and have used for ages are suddenly taken off the market!  ..... I stream a lot of stuff on Netflix and Hulu.... And will often find myself watching something I've already seen a million times. I'm a creature of habit. As for shopping, I prefer to shop online. I spend enough time with people in a retail setting, I don't want to do it when I'm on my own time too.

I have never shopped online. I want to look, touch, and occasionally try stuff on before buying it. Despite the ‘Stay At Home’ order and previous lockdowns, I am not watching a lot of tv. Now that hockey and basketball are back, I will flip to those when the Leafs and Raptors are on.

I have to say I tend to watch my DVDs and my TV stays on the Hallmark channel. For shopping, I do go to the store , got too smell the shampoo. I even do on line shopping also. The Light is shinning and she is lonely and waiting in the darkness.

I almost never watch live TV. At any given point in time I'm working my way through seven to ten shows on Netflix, Amazon and Hulu, so I'll pick a couple of those for the evening. (this morning, I DID watch live TV )So... ya watched Joe didja? Was weird to see no crowds; but interesting. Online has been my way for a few months. Just the way it is for, right now.. I miss shopping at Costco! A Man who knows how to use his tongue is extremely useful!
