Being A Famous A F F Celebrity Blogger...😎 Is Not Easy... It Is Hard... 🤔

Note : A F F is deleting words in the text. Please be patient.

Being a famous - A F F Celebrity Blogger - is not easy. I'm constantly being recognized and hounded for autographs and selfies... wherever I go. Take last weekend...

Now I'll admit... I don't really mind. I mean... if I can help motivate someone, to achieve their life goals, then so be it. As a role model (for some), I am always aware, of the standard I'm setting. My "dick pics" (for example) - are for Friends only! So... I sat there in the restaurant, taking tiny bites of food, wiping my mouth, quickly. I wasn't at all surprised, when THEY, approached me.

Their cell phone cameras were at the ready; paper and pens in hand. I put my knife and fork down, in anticipation of the inevitable gawking. I expected their gushing requests, for proof and confirmation - of their brush, with a. r.eal, live, superstar... and famous person . Then... to my complete surprise, they walked right by, MY table and trudged quickly, to the group seated behind me.

"What the fuck?"; were my first thoughts... until I turned around and realized who, was sitting behind me.

He was leaning on his elbows, a mouthful of grilled salmon sticking outta his mouth. Tartar sauce clung to the edges of his lips and his fingers were smeared with butter. It was Captain Kirk -William Shatner. 'Comic-Con' was in town at the Convention Center and he was there for the festivities.

Hmmm... I Waited until that silly cluster of people, had left Captain Kirk's table, before I turned back in my chair and asked him to sign my napkin.

Never presume! Life will always surprise you with the unexpected. I wore my sunglasses for the balance of my meal. I hoped no one, would recognize me. No one , did.

.......................................
So...
Are there any valid role models, out there... these days?

Note : A F F is deleting words in the text. Please be patient.

I think there are fewer and fewer role models out there... at least for me. Definitely NOT, the gang of youthful singers holding guitars or mics. Movie stars... also a big NO, for me. Certainly not the sports athletes!

Perhaps Oprah... or Barrack Obama? I should say my parents... but... not really.
I think I can live, without role models. I do, look up to some people, as examples of those, who's lifestyle, I'd like to follow. And there are those who have overcome adversity, who I can admire, for their perseverance.
Am I weird? 🤔

No I don't think you are 'weird' (at least not in this instance . I don't have role models per se. I don't try to be anyone else, I just try to be the best 'me'. However, I can also admire people for overcoming adversity...not for their celebrity or wealth. Terry Fox is one who immediately comes to mind.

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

I think I'm a good role model â€Ļ at least, I've been told by friends and family how much they admire my adventurous spirit and how they wish they could be like me â€Ļ only they never try to be adventurous themselves so â€Ļ. nevermind.

Maybe if they knew that I'm an obscure A.FF blogger?

Wait a minute?! If you're being recognized, does that mean you run around town shirtless and with your pants undone?

I so agree with Terry Fox being such an incredible role model and inspiration to one and all.Celebrities are a dime a dozen in this world. It is the everyday hero like Terry Fox and the Rick Hanson's who triumph through life's adversities that are the celebrities of life.

You can never have enough JOY in your life..xoxo

Can't say that I have any role models anymore. I am me and good bad and sometimes in between I sure don't want to be someone else. Maybe I grew out of it. As for parents being role models. Me neither and never have.. Does make me wonder how many do consider parents that way.

If you see me in the real world, come say "Hi Justskin."

I always behave. Preferably not well.

Yep... I hear you...
I've 'respected' things my parents did... but role models? 🤔
I think it's all about, forging your own path... unless, you REALLY have something to learn... or to gain... by following someone... else's. 😊
Definitely don't see anyone, who I'd like to emulate.
Or... maybe I've become too old to give a shit?
Is it an age or generational thing?

Well, at least you could finish your meal without interruption.

Yes, I think there are role models in our lives...for the most part, I think they are the ordinary people who have influenced our lives and make us want to be better people. Then, there are the selfless "famous" folks like Mother Theresa...she is a role model, wouldn't you think?

Role models? No actor could be mines? They just actors! I got to be the best me I can be, and be my own role model. I'm glad I didn't see that episode of Star Trek!

Yes I agree.
I do look more towards average people, for motivation... but with all due respect to any of them... I'll see and feel and hear what they're all about... I'll read their quotes or books 📚... But, it's really about, taking their energy and putting it into something one can use.
I have a tendency to focus for a while, and then move on.
Mother Theresa? Yes! 👍
But so... many.... others... no?
I'll bet, you... are a role model, for your kids and grand kids... 😊

I don't know if we can have real role models like we used to, everybody has some dirt under their fingernails, and sooner or later someone finds out, courtesy of the information age.

I wonder how many of those "old style" role models, could have withstood the scrutiny of today's inquiring minds and internet trash seekers? 🤔

I guess... I look at society has broadened that definition to include "epic" gestures and acts of sacrifice... and you're right. They don't have to be THAT.
They can be every day moments... and I see them every day.

I see ordinary people everyday doing some unexpected things like helping an elderly couple in a parking lot with a cartful to the Home Depot clerk who went the extra mile when I needed help. Those folks are the real role models of today's society. They have not forgotten what kindness is and that counts far more then being famous.
I am the "black sheep" in my family because I would not conform to the "norm" and thank goodness I made my own path. I am much wiser and nicer than most of my family and they still remain quite critical. I feel badly that they never learned to like themselves enough to pay goodness forward

I suppose Paul, if somebody earned to be a celeb, like a singer with a terrific voice and oogles of charisma, (guess that woul be luck as well), anyway, they deserve to have fans! They worked "hard", and guess most of us need to be recognized and appreciated, whoever and whatever we may be? Role models, the people we can truly admire - Okay, my bedtime again and not sure I'm making much sense here, but an interesting Blog this!

True.. some of those with talent should be appreciated for their efforts... as do we all.
I find it hard to find valid role models in celebs, though... They have the same foibles as the rest of us.
Someone pointed out here, that if ÊtÊ look in the mirror, we should be able to see one.
Like you suggested.
Bedtime? 🤔 Sounds like a plan. lol Thanks for sharing your thoughts. 😊
