That fold into a briefcase at the touch of a button. If you grew up in the sixties, you've met Gorge Jetson, and family. I grew up during the era, and as my birthday nears I'm still wondering when we're going to get our flying cars? I figured by now that they would be a common thing. Like living on the Moon, or Mars. Nope. Detroit, and the big three auto makers are still stuck in the stone age. Oh there have been some improvements to be sure. Seat belts, air bags, cars that parallel park themselves, and we no longer have to rely on foot power to get to where we're going like the Flintstones did. But the flying car is still no where to be seen or had at any price. Growing up when I did, and looking back now I wonder what happened? With the space race in full swing I thought that it was only a matter of time till most of us were living and working in space. Blasting off on our daily commute to the office, going out for a night on the town dancing in zero gravity with our jet belts. Chatting on video phones, well that one did happen, and Kudos to the inventive minds that gave us the cell phone. But come on.. where are the flying cars? I've seen a lot in the past sixty years. Most of it good, some of it bad. But the promise of a bright exciting future seems to have been lost along the way somehow. We slowed down to a snails pace once the race to the moon was accomplished. There has as of late been some renewed interest with the guys funding their own rocket launches, again though it's still just a pass time for the rich and famous. If you have the funds, or happened to star in a show about trekking among the stars you can get a seat on one of the flights, float in zero gee for a bit and land hours later. Okay, it's cool and all if you can afford it...but it's still not the flying car we were promised . Oh well, I'm off to shower now....

At least Back To The Future gave us a vsion of a flying car and a hoverboard which is cool. Loved the Jetsons also seeing we are of the same generation,except you are turning the Big 60, where I am not yet..lol. I think some things have slowed down and got lost in cyberspace now when it comes to other future space endevours..Have a good one Hun.xoxo

The question is what direction are we going at the moment. At one time, we were headed toward "The Jetsons". Right now, I think we are moving more toward "The Matrix"! Just livin' the dream! (please don't make me wake up)
