Love me

Love me tender...

I love the words of old songs. I mean if you think about it, they speak to you. They tell a story. Sadness, love, life...everything in-between.

LOVE ME TENDER
by Elvis Presley

Love me tender,
love me sweet,
never let me go.
You have made my life complete,
and I love you so.

Love me tender,
love me true,
all my dreams fulfilled.
For my darlin' I love you,
and I always will.

Love me tender,
love me long,
take me to your heart.
For it's there that I belong,
and we'll never part.

love me tender love me true all my dreams fulfill for my darling i love you and i always will
Love me tender,
love me dear,
tell me you are mine.
I'll be yours through all the years,
till the end of time
love me tender love me true
all my dreams fulfill for my darling i love you ----and i always will

I love the song as well. Some songs, as well as artists, never go out of style. He could surely sing a beautiful love song.

Ok, girlie, I don't know you; but, I read your other post that you didn't open for comment, and guess what ... I am sliding it in on here.

First off, negative and hurtful words are so much easier to believe than good ones. They are ONLY words, and I know they hurt ... believe me; however, it's not the be all and end all of the situation. If your FAMILY knocks you down, belittles you, makes you feel worthless, they are not good for you. They have issues of their own, and you can be sure of that. They are probably following the treatment that they themselves received from their peers. The whole thing is fucked up. People who love you only lift you up, compliment you on your strong points, and lightly bring to light those things that they feel you should change. They don't bring you to tears with sadness and mean intentions. You need to re-think who you let in your life. I know it's hard to get away from family; but, it can be done to a certain extent, and if not, tell them that you don't appreciate the way they talk to you, and if they can't be nice, you would rather not be around them.

Also, you are passing this on to your children. They see you unhappy and crying ... it affects them. It's not good for them to see their mother out of control emotionally. They look to you for support, and you will cause them emotional problems as well ... if they feel they cannot depend on you. It's just not good for ANY of you.

If they are putting you down for good reason, (I don't know you or your situation), work on it ... but, tell them that criticism, which is not constructive, is not what you need. That isn't the way family should treat you ... or anyone else.

I wish you the best, and I hope smiles are in your near future.

Sometimes the old songs just hit the right emotion. They definitely had a way with the words and emotion...
