I get it. There are a lot of scammers and people sending a lot of low effort first messages. You can't reply all of them, so you need a way filter the signal from the noise, and figure out who is worth replying .

So you decide request that people send you longer first messages.

Here's why that's not going get you what you want:

Only fools send long first messages.

Sending a long first messages is an investment of time and energy. People are generally attracted you or not, and sending longer messages doesn't change that dramatically. So a person who adopts this strategy is wasting energy, and will become frustrated with dating.

Do you really want date someone who follows losing strategies?

For most people, it makes more sense make smaller investments of interest, and invest more effort in people who have shown at least a small indication of interest.

For most people, the best strategy is not about an elaborate strategy, or rigid rules. It's about just going out and seeing who has sent you messages, or winks, or whatever, and seeing how you feel in your gut about them. Responding--not hunting, or expecting be hunted.
