The line from the movie Green Mile just captures my mind set today.

I've had no more news about my brother since my nephew texted me yesterday at lunch. At that time he had spiked a high fever, and they were moving him into ICU placing him on a vent. I may hear more today when I check the face place?

I'm tired with worry as well as lack of sleep. Staying up later then usual to watch the events of yesterday unfold on the news. News events? More like a made for TV movie, Senators back peddling to distance themselves away from a President who they have been kissing up to for the last four years. Scenes of Trump supporters storming the Capitol Building, acting like idiots from a banana republic in a half ass ed coup attempt. Walking around in the people's house like tourists, taking selfies with their phones, disrespecting the very ideals this nation was founded on. All at the urging of the Commander in Chief.

With a little less than two weeks left of his Presidency there are only three options left for the people. One, is to hope that the Twenty-fifth Amendment is invoked, though I doubt the VP has the backbone to go along with the cabinet members and do so. Though it was reported on ABC that the cabinet was bantering the subject about last evening. Two, is to have Congress censor the president, in effect rendering him a lame duck as far as political powers go. Three, Impeachment. As I sat there watching the news that at least was given serious considerations from some leading congressmen. An impeachment with two weeks left you say? Yes, even after leaving office a president can be impeached. The brass ring on this merry -go- round we've just been on, is that an impeached president would never again be allowed to run for office.

I do not know what the new day will bring. All I know is watching the days events from yesterday is that this is not the America I grew up in. I'm tired Boss...

Off to shower now....

It has been RUMORED that Trump would RUN in 2024 !!! At this point, I'm just sitting back too see if the RUMORED Enactment of Article 25 will be used against BIDEN , with the claim that He is INCOMPETENT too HOLD THE OFFICE and put HARRIS as President !!! It has also been RUMORED that Hilary Clinton would be placed as Vice President !!!

Actually Trump stated ( reported on the news ) at a Christmas party just last month he planned on running. As for using the 25th, on Biden? well a majority of his cabinet would have to agree to something like that, ( I don't even think he's picked all of his cabinet members yet ) along with VP Harris then a letter sent to congress stating that they don't think Biden is capable of full filling his duties as President. That I'd say is a big rumor.

i'm sorry you don't have more news on you brother as of the post going up.
hopefully you'll have more info soon and things will all be better for your family.

i had not thought about the fact if he is impeached even post term then he can't run again... i think that is a good option to consider as there would not be enough time in two weeks to finish an impeachment trial.

Current and soon to evicted GA US Senator Kelly Loeffler is one of the back peddlers who went to saying she was going to contest the electoral votes to not objecting after the day's events. or so she says... she's missed something like 80% of the floor votes since November. She's a billionaire. Why she needs this "job" is beyond me.
