Yeah, you know the rest of that old song even if your not that old. Used in a comedy movie not long ago.

I came to mind because of my "stalker" a woman who lives in the neighborhood, works at the local mini mart, and has a tendency to follow me around when ever I'm shopping there and she's working. Yesterday was a great day outside, very warm for the season, sun shining ... a day that doesn't come in November very often in the Great Lakes region. As I was heading off to do a unit, I saw her, just like the song lyric "just walking down the street" as we passed each other she waved, kind of a low key wave. Her hand waist high and a quick flip, barely noticeable. My hands full, one carrying a spray mop, the other pulling a vacuum along on the sidewalk to get to the unit I gave her the nod, the polite hello when one passes a neighbor. I thought no more about the encounter and went to do my work.

Later that day after work, I head over to the store to pick up some coffee filters as I had run out and would need some to make my pot of coffee this morning. ( I can't get through the day with out coffee ) A quick glance up the main street as I'm about to cross I see her again out of the corner of my eye. A couple of yards behind me, dressed in her work shirt heading over to the store for a second shift night. Again I don't think too much about it, cross the street and go to the store to get the item I need. Once inside I get the filters and as I round the corner by the frozen foods section.. yeah I had ice cream on the brain, figured since I was there, it was so warm out that I'd pick up some for a treat for after dinner. I nearly ran into her as I rounded the corner. She gave me a quick smile, then coyly stepped aside and passed me , turning a light scarlet as the blush rose to her cheeks. Yeah, I watched her walk away towards the milk coolers... nice butt. Well the ice cream was way to expensive, over six bucks for half a gallon, knowing I could get the same half gallon at my grocery store for half the price I opted on not buying any. Figuring that a candy bar or snack cake would do for my after dinner treat I headed off in the direction where they were shelved....as I get to the front of the store there she comes again... I guess she had circled around over by the beer and wine section and was heading towards me, the blush on her face still showing, smiling as we passed one another yet again..she gave me another small wave, along with a soft hello. Then quickly went back towards the swinging doors to the back stock area of the store, I assume to clock in and start her shift. Yeah, I looked again, at our passing noting that she looked just as good coming as she did going..

Now I'm not too swift on the up take, I never know when a woman is flirting with me. But I'd have to pretty obtuse to think that she wasn't doing just that. All night long after getting home from the store I could think of nothing else but her waving at me and wondering what could happen. Of course not having been with any women for some time my mind wandered..us together bodies entwined, all fantasies to be sure. My reservations on seeing where this might go...are a couple... One, she lives where I'm employed, and an unwritten rule of the place is you don't date a tenant. Before I started working here the shit hit the fan when a worker dated a tenant, they broke up and well, it wasn't good to say the least, either for the tenant or the worker, or so I was told. Two, this woman is I'd say about the same age as my daughter in her middle thirties. So, dating someone that age, would I fear seem weird somehow.

There I go again, putting the cart before the horse, we've nodded waved and said hello...and I'm wondering about how I'd feel about us dating. This all could be nothing more than just a neighbor being friendly, still that doesn't stop the feeling like I should start paying more attention to pretty women who wave at me......

Don't know if she drinks coffee, knows she makes it on the job at the store though. She seems more the Pepsi-cola type to me though. Have a good one Dave.

I can't believe no one has finished the line yet!
"Doo wah ditty ditty, dum ditty doo!"
I feel better now.
Who knows? Sounds like an invitation to me. You could be missing out on a great experience. And if you click that well, she could move.

Have a great day, and be nice to one another.

" she lives where I'm employed" could be that she is looking too have some work or repair done in her place without paying for it but offer too pay you in a different way!!! She just hasn't worked up the gumption too ask you yet !!!

I doubt is the case here. All tenants need to do is ask if they need something done in their unit. No payment from them is required unless they have trashed something. As for me, I've already been to her unit once this year to replace light bulbs for her and her room mate.

I'm sorry she is an untouchable. Maybe she will move and keep chasing you

i am SOOO clueless when someone is trying to get my attention!
and i also misread if someone seems interested and they are not. oops.

do you like this woman?
what kind of coffee do you drink?

Do I like her? Hard to say? I find her attractive for sure. But it's hard to know if your going to connect with someone just by waving and nodding hello. I like my coffee black with two sugars. Have a good one.
