Soldiers and Scientists, Are They Not The Real Saints ? • Can we ever think about the welfare of others before ours ? • How many people do you know who put Country , People , Society , Environment etc. etc above their own interests ? • How many people think about the happiness , safety, and comfort of others before their own ? You will say that it is very difficult to find such people in today’s world. But friends, yes there are people in this world who scarifies their time , family , comfort , peace , happiness and even their lives for others. They are our soldiers and our scientists. Let’s talk about the soldiers first. In what type of condition and environment, a soldier performs his duty ? Whether it is a scorching heat or a frigid cold , a soldier stands rock solid all the time. A bullet could come and kill him anytime from any direction or a land mine can blow him up in pieces if a soldier is a little bit casual. On duty, a soldier all the time Goes through the ultimate test of mind and body. These are the conditions in which soldiers perform their duty. Now just think about us. People need to break or refreshment after 2-3 hours of work , think about the soldier who is patrolling on the border. Can he afford to take 10-20 minutes for a break ? Do the soldiers have weekend entertainment like us ? Imagine the life of a soldier after captured by the enemy and kept as a prisoner. I have watched many movies on true stories of soldiers captured by the enemy army. It is horrifying. While most of us are not capable of doing table work without fan or A.C. , how one can choose such a tuff job with pride where a threat to life is looming all the time ? What could be the impetus behind joining an army ? A person who carries Values like power , scarifies , bravery , honesty and love for the country can only choose such a job. And from where all these values come from ? they come from the nurture of the by parents and teachers. how pathetic we are when the time comes to respect our army and our national flag. I hope people and politicians of India will learn to respect our soldiers in a realistic manner. Now let’s talk about scientists. Since morning to bed at night whatever products you use and whatever facilities you avail , all most all are the blessing of science and the years and years of hard work of scientists. Every single moment of our life is influenced by the invention or creation of science. For all these inventions how much and how hard scientists have worked ? Thousands and thousands of scientists have spent their entire life for one invention. A<b> famous </font></b>quote comes to my mind, “ Time is the only thing in this world that one can not earn it back”. The research work has been passed down from generation to generation for one invention. Scientists work in a trance not thinking about their family , friends , comfort , money etc etc. and see how much our world has benefited from their researches at the cost of their entire life hard and smart work. Though it is altogether a different thing that people have misused inventions to develop harmful things. So, in my opinion, our soldiers and our scientists are the real saints. We must appreciate their unselfish work. We should keep pictures of soldiers and scientists with the narration of their work and scarifies on the wall at home so that our every day see them and inspired by them to work for the society. We can organize some program to educate people about our soldiers and scientists so that a sense of obligation towards society develops among them.   |
