Well I look at it like this haste makes waste.
Never buy the first year model of a car.
All in all I'll ask my Dr before I get a needle in my arm.
They say to get the flu shot it will help since it's a flu.

At risk people probably should get it as available. I might wait to see how things turn out. There have been vaccines that had bad "side" effects. And this ones has been rushed which isn't necessarily a good thing.

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

I never take a flu shot, it is a guess on which flu will hit each year. They give flu shots and look at the number of people that still die from the flu, makes you wonder how many had taken the flu shot.

From what I have seen, the general public will be the last to be able to get the vaccine. If you really want to know what all is in vaccines, I think I seen a chart on the CDC website that shows all the ingredients in each vaccine. It is amazing what all is in them.

Not sure about taking it but we might not have a choice in the matter, it could be another one of our freedoms they will take away.

After my zoster vaccination four weeks ago, I had severe side effects: fever, chills, headache ... That can happen, and it was over the next day.
But anything is better than the disease to be prevented.
An extremely painful shingles attacked me eight years ago for months (Can be fatal) I don't want to experience that again.

I prefer vaccination with side effects..

I need some others to get the vaccine first as I want to see what side effects happen to those who initially get the vaccine. Then I will see.

I would rather have a sore arm and feel less than normal for a day or two than have a breathing tube/ventilator for the rest of my life! I am NOT an essential worker though, and not in a high risk group. It will be while before there is a vaccine even available to me.

And covid-19 is NOT, I repeat NOT the flu! It is a coronavirus, not an influenza virus. A flu shot will NOT help with covid-19, but it will reduce/eliminate the complications if you would be unlucky enough to get both at the same time. While the symptoms may be very similar, they are not caused by the same thing!

As much as I would like to see this virus over with, I'm not thinking that I want to be a part of their test trial . But, that's a personal decision we all have to consider.

yes, do it.

side effects? shit,

better than the possibility of ending in a hospital on a ventilator.

or NOT being able to even GET into the hospital.

or sentencing a family membrr to that fate.

dont be a NO-BRAINER -

wear the mask, get the vaccine when its available.

you didnt get polio, did you? thank a VACCINE!

Do you know, its not a one shot deal. Ive read one needs at least two shots at differing intervals.

Seeing that there historically have been test guinea pigs in black/brown communities, im not willing to be the canary in the coal mine.

I think its admirable that the past prez 's will do this, its very presidential of them...and shows that even out of office they are STILL willing to work together and are for the people. I would like to see the current administration and his family take it first.

I def have issue on how this was so rushed...i understand the importance of that....but i also wonder what the long term effects are. Like is it going to affect reproduction, cause birth defects, devlopmental concerns etc. My mom , who had a miscarriage between myself and my brother, refused to take the anti miscarriage drug of the 50's cuz it was known to potentially cause babies with webbed hands / feet.

Ill think, ill continue to mask up, limit contact and wash /sanitize for awhile first. Taking this stance, even after having lost two fam members the past 8 months.~~

Humans are the most dangerous animals on earth.

If only animals had the ability to know when to keep away from us humans they would be better off.

Have heard the same; Quoting , jajo696 , Do you know, its not a one shot deal. Ive read one needs at least two shots at differing intervals. Have also heard that it would become a yearly shot just like the flu shot !! Having HAD IT & Blood Testing over several times , has shown that I appear to have a build-up of Antibodies !! I still have contact with Dept. of Health Nurse ; They are still Uncertain weather it will be suggested for those that have had it or not !! I would think that with Antibodies , NOT !! But ; the way it keeps Evolving ; even then it is Unknown !!!

It's not as if thousands of people haven't already had it. None of them died and the side effects have been studied. Your odds of not having adverse affects after getting the shot are very high. So if you're not pregnant do yourself and everyone else a favor and get the shot.

You are young. I say don't get it. For one, the mortality rate for those under 70 yrs of age is all but non-existent —significantly less that the flu!!! Two, those that do come down with Covid usually have only mild symptoms lasting maybe two weeks. The anti-viral meds we have now have been fully documented as working extremely well. Couple that with everything from the common cold to various other forms of covid already producing antibodies in much of the population.

Finally, I would encourage you to listen to a press conference briefing where Dr. James Lyons-Weiler spoke about serious issues with the vaccine. It can be found on YouTube: https://youtu.be/lkGB1-YFn1Q

Most of the reduced time to develop the vaccine was not rushing the science. The government promised to pay the drug companies if they had a good vaccine. When the companies had a vaccine they thought was a good one, they already had trial subjects vetted and ready for testing. Then the distribution system was ready to go as soon as testing was completed. Non of the actual science was skipped or rushed. It was just a streamlining of the logistics and elimination of unnecessary burdensome regulations.

My cousin and I were talking about this one day and with her being a Nurse she told she was not taking it and I am not taking it either. For one thing it has not been out long and for another reason I do not trust in it. I see Biden shutting everything down in the States which should have been done in the first place and we might not had a second round off it

The Light is shinning and she is lonely and waiting in the darkness.

As much as I hate vaccines. Don’t get me started on why. I will have to amd will seek out the vaccine when it is available to me. Even though I work from home, hardly EVER go anywhere that is not an open air place. There are too many stupid, inconsiderate people out there that are likely the culprit of the continuing spread of the virus. And now we even have new strains, as expected. So for the brief and seldom contact I have with the outside and people in general, I feel it is a necessity to get vaccinated. To I my own chagrin.
I could pick it up from the groceries I get delivered, from the take out or delivered meals sometimes I indulge in, from the packages and mail I receive. So there. I will give in.

as far as me getting it, I will when it's available to me. as far as science goes they phara companies took existing vaccines they were working on and modified those to work on fighting covid from what I've read. as far as side effects, the pain of the injection, sore spot at the injection site or sore hurting arm.. maybe feeling, drowsy, lazy or maybe a slight headache or fever for a day..... no matter what kind of vaccines come out someone is going to have side effects..... flu shot etc..... there's not 1 thats been 100% side effect free no matter what it's been for ... ... so I say when it becomes available to you, get it
