You can love someone if they are 20 when your 50 You can say I do even if you’re Buffy and Misty You can dance with Harry even if you’re not Sally Ask Ed on one knee when your name is O’Malley You can jump a grapevine without any legs Borrow my wheels to overcome the pegs You can read poetry even if you are blind You can feel the colors in the words entwined Mock shadows are what keeps us from dreaming It’s your own mind that keeps you from believing Dance across the clouds and feel what you can Grab your love and squeeze with both hands Tomorrow is not promised today is right here So don’t take for granted those words you hold dear |
