Any time banning transgender people comes up in the news about the military Any time some news about transgender in the military comes up its a rough day for many trans people. For me it was the incendiary responses to FB posts, I could give a shit about restricting places that don't want me there, hence I only go where I know I am welcome, which is a very small amount of places really. The headlines are more of an excuse to bully and shit on trans people in general and all these assholes come out of the woodwork to quote Tomi and her social experiment rhetoric cause the dicks never had an original thought in their head. Regurgitate Tomi with her social experiment, regurgitate Milo by calling us a mental disorder, etc. The stats don't add up though. I could argue that point and will if some asshole responds but the point here is there is no other group that every one comes to join in to bash than that of the trans community. It is so easy to pull the wings off a fly or beat a small and to be the % who either lets people shit on us or take time out of their day to blast people for just living their lives. You are not brave for shitting on the marginalized, when has going along with the mob made you special or brave? Think about being obese and some one yelling you're a disgusting fat from across the street. Think about not being the most handsome person and masses of people mumbling how ugly you are as you walk by. No one does that because we know that isn't free speech, that is just being an dickhead. That common courtesy does not extend to the trans community, and it was sobering to see how so many people could not be happy unless they ed us around like puppies to get through the day, and it wasn't even a Monday. I am not a psychological disorder. A society that wants, or the parents that do try beat the gay out of you is the violent mental disorder. The people who f*g bashed in the 90s were the disorder, not the Matthew Sheppard's of the world. The nuts that thought gay marriage would effect them are the psychos. The people who go to bed angry cause somewhere in their city men are kissing are the weirdos. Don't put the whole of mental issues on .03 when suicides are ten out of every hundred thousand or mental disorders are 18% of all Americans. You assholes do the math here before pinning crazy on us cause it seems like many people are suffering. I'll tell you what might have some factor in some feeling depressed or suicidal though, a huge percentage of people you know and never met calling you names every morning and during the day nullifying your right to exist. You people get depressed because work isn't going right, try adding on some calling you an abomination on your way to dutch brothers you pussies. This "social experiment" isn't growing because it is easy, in some places it is still a death sentence and they still try and risk it just to live their individual life as true for just day at least. You think parents should not condone or listen to their and beat them into submission, that social experiment we have plenty of data on. We know people will kill themselves, they will be depressed, and suffer from other disorders so quit pushing ideas that are known not to work. You may as well try pushing gay conversion camps since they worked so well. God forbid some family member in a rare instance support their . The minute they do the external psychosis of society has to form up to bully them for loving their enough not to want them dead. I have never seen trump nuts, black people, hispanic people, young people, and mothers, team up to bully some till that news. For me it is not about the headline, it is just sad the only commonality that could bridge so many cultures and ethnicity had to be the bashing of the .03 percent of fellow humans that required so little for you to write us off as deserving to exist. |

Well written and well said. Among hate crime victims transgender people are most likely to be killed. It's a crime against reason as well as humanity that the victim is seen as somehow "wrong" simply for being uncommon. A little dim bulb is beginning to switch on in the brains of the public that perhaps the travesty is in the murder and not in being transgender. Why that should be a huge conceptual leap doesn't speak well for us. It ought to be glaringly obvious. Americans are ruled by fear. Our reaction after September 11 and the election of President Babyhands bear clear evidence to that. It's traditional and historical that our fellow citizens lash out violently at the things and people they don't understand. I've had many friends and co-workers who reacted that way: "It's different! Kill it!" It's enough to make a preacher cuss the stupidity of his flock, and yet the preacher is often the dumbest son of a bitch in the congregation. All is not lost, even though it frequently seems that way. That dimly glowing bulb is starting to inform people that there are an infinite variety of genders packed in between the poles of heterosexuality and that none of them are wrong. Lol Rh, the post wasn't about the military, it was about how when it comes up in the news it brings out the slippery assholes who have to chant their Shapiro talking points like their original or unique. I think that point is well made with this but I posted counters to all your be points in a 3 part post right before this one. Before you bring up any straw men arguments you may want to know my stances and not presume. Since we are presuming my guess is you don't like my profile for the trump supporter aversion I have, am I right?

The only thing I read is "poor me", but not once was there anything there about service, or others. This isnt about the military ban, its about how assholes like you come out of the woodwork to shit on people anytime our group comes up in the news. You cemented my point but still want to argue the service side which I dont really care to make points, others can easily counter you but that isnt the point so they can. When you join the military, it is about subordinating yourself for the good of others. A superior can order you to draw enemy fire, or to stay in position while the rest of the unit escapes, or any other life-threatening scenarios. Not the point but I am sold, following orders has never been my forte and dying for some corporations needs doesnt sound fun either. There are plenty of trans people doing just that but they have health needs. You may not see them as so, I dont see the 1.5 million we spend on penis pumps every year or viagra but here we are Linda. Again dont give a fuck about the service bit enough to point out your hypocrisy on it But you? Given that self-mutilation is not normal and part of being trans, and all the various medical and psychological challenges they face compared to the normal population (and yes, 0.0000001 per cent or whatever miniscule number it is), there are many valid reasons for not letting them in the military nor stay in the military. You mean the plastic surgery most of the US is ok with unless you are trans of course. You can take a hormone but not estrogen, well unless youre a woman and have an imbalance of course. This is a personal choice, smoking will shorten your life span but no one runs around knocking cigarettes out of my mouth. Alcohol can kill your liver but no one runs around like some asshole telling them they shouldnt drink as much. That is the point of the post. Your numbers are kind of off but here is the real ones. Trans people make up .03 percent of the population. 18% of the 300 million americans suffer from a mental disorder, 11% of that population are suicidal. Studies and history show when a person is accepted by family for their sexuality they mental problems are less. The risk of suicide drops ten fold meaning if people stop fucking with two gay guys from kissing they have less stress and enjoy life, It is basic common sense . I am not saying anything untrue or prejudiced. Good for you! The words you choose point out your motives more than you may think. Your post shows how self-obsessed you are, which is not conducive to a group/team mentality - which is, essentially, what the military is. You have enough hurdles of your own to deal with, and the military has a kill-or-be-killed job to perform; the sheer arrogance to presume that the military should shift that focus from survival and mission accomplishment to accomodate someone who wants to self-harm absolutely proves why certain individuals shouldn't be in certain professions. snippet of shit I already addressed: Bear with me, the plan is the breakdown all objections of each point till we are left with something both sides have admit. That we are all hung up on shit terms and identifiers that muddy the waters and also let bigots hide behind good points. I plan to remove these points so there is no island for them to swim to some high ground. So what does gender mean if you exclude sex from the equation and how do you define it? Can definitions of words change or do people still use the word "faggot" as the best way to describe a bunch of loose sticks? Do we really plunge the world into chaos by losing an old meaning to a word by changing that meaning? So what is the male gender? Is it wearing blue, driving cars, fist fights,wearing jeans, keeping your hair short? What would it take to go against the gender and do the exact opposite from the definition so that you would piss off some cranky professor? We all know men can be cooks, stay at home parents, have a stronger mate, wear their hair long, wear make up, pluck their eyebrows, wax their bodies, have plastic surgery, and take hormones without getting any shit. We know they can marry other men without giving up their gender identity as well. The founding father wore wigs, pantyhose, heels, and make up. Some cultures are gender neutral on clothing, and we know plenty of men who have feminine traits let alone the metrosexual term for men who moisturize and wash every now and then. So what is their hang up for me putting on a dress or getting a boob job? Plenty of women do so, some men get pectoral implants. I could naturally work my buns and hips to a more feminine look but why the hang up on trans people doing the same exact thing as heterosexual people? No body builder was ever meant to be that muscly in their DNA, it took a shot in the ass of bull hormones to make that man a walking mule. This is ok though, just dont be born a man and want a pair of tits or the hormone estrogen. Does it all come down to the dress or the desire to identify as a woman. My guess is that they would not have an argument if we wanted our own designated identity instead of adding to an existing . All he has is a case for is people wanting to be called her and it being protected. He admitted he would do it if it wasnt being asked to prove a point or it being political. What he was really saying is he can be a decent human being and be smart enough to assume you want to be called her if you dress and act like a woman, this is an easier ask than wanting to change the definition of woman. The bigots will still exist but not with any valid points if we look into ourselves and stop fighting about names. If their argument for gender is doing what our genes tell us to do like the caveman excuse we do pretty much the opposite of everything we were made to do. The only time we use it as an excuse is that you were born this way and we were made to eat meat. We were programmed to do a ton of shit before we evolved but if gender is tied to human drive, then a man fucking another man is far from the default program. Do they exempt their gender or do they defy their sex? I only point this out because we will always call a lesbian a woman still even if she dresses like Justin Beiber , hell most bigots will still misgender them just to be assholes but if she wants to transition to a man, then the uproar begins and if he is now properly pronoun-ed, it is only by some happy bigoted accident where they thought they were insulting him but called him by his preferred pronoun. Should we define ourselves as women in general or add a qualifier? This is where I differ from most. I dont want to be called a woman. Being a woman is different than being a trans woman. Ignoring these differences is folly and adds to the ammunition of delusion. Some trans people that pass can do this, but only because the others cant tell, this is not some form of acceptance by the whole of society, you have just pulled off the illusion so you dont have to deal with the discrimination as you remain undetected. It is not your winning personality or the way you dress conservatively that gets you the respect you deserve, they just cant tell or you would be getting all the same shit sandwich non passable trans women get. This is where the waters get muddy. The reason i know we need another definition is the same reason I know the term sexual assault should not be used as a term for everything from groping to r*pe, it requires more information. For example I will have a conversation about me and my wife. The first question is "is she trans or cis" The reason why is because we had to add the term CIS to a definition that already existed so that we could take the meaning from the that already used it, but you cant really do that without confusing people. This is where it goes off the rails to me. I know that my brain is wired similar to a woman cause i feel that way. We know hormones do effect behavior as well as other things. There is a huge spectrum of intersex and so on that make the areas more grey but in my case, it is kind of obvious. I was not born a woman, some people dont want to date trans people, and i should not hide that fact if it comes up, much like being gay or lesbian doesnt discredit someones existence, me putting transgender isn't going to discredit mine. I dont want to go down that road too much but I have better written points on the matter. So right now I know I pissed some people off by even attempting to say maybe we should define ourselves as something other than women. Most of you will see the irony that you do it to crossdressers all the time and while you are ok with identifying in your own circles to make things easier to understand you expect the public to not benefit from the same shorthand and probably revel in the confused looks for some of the real jerks. Transgender women in sports, I really do think we need to let this one go. I was called a bigot for this and blocked but no one can argue that if Lebron James decided to transition today, 3 years from now, if he joined the wnba he would still be dunking on everyone. Denying the current differences between biological(another qualifier) women and men from a hereditary trait and breeding level leaves us open to ridicule cause it is really hard to stand on this . I know there are grey areas but lets not die on this hill. So what of his belief of doing what has been done before as a default logic? Well majority rules has never been a completely good or bad thing. We know that in order to keep going we need to keep producing but then there is Britney Spears selling more albums than talented musicians, slavery(should have come first but you wouldnt get the point as clearly), civil rights, gay rights, opposing the Iraq war. Majority doesnt rule all the time and when you have a fringe of a population that they would admit would be more if universally accepted, then you have to admit that this is more than just some fad and that it has been around historically for centuries. So what do you do? Cleanse the anomalies? Ostracize them because large varieties are a danger to the status quo? How bout you do the same thing you did for gay people? Never admit you were wrong and quietly accept their existence?

For now lets answer his question why cant you identify as Filipino? You can move there, learn the language, marry , become a Filipino citizen, dress like , get plastic surgery and dye your hair to resemble , cook the food, research the history and culture, and have half Filipino children if you want. What you cant do is claim that you were genetically born Filipino. So this is not him winning the point, it is both sides hung up on the way you identify, not wanting to let ience but failing to get to the root of what being Filipino means. The other side just not willing to admit they are not 100% Filipino. Same with all points, you can dress older, watch Matlock, listen to big band music and Sinatra but you cant collect social security or get a senior diount at IHOP. Same with being a transwoman, you can have almost all of it and most people wont care but if you try and claim something that just isnt true the logical mind may reject it. Only two genders and only two sexes puts a stranglehold on expanding ones thoughts. That kind of logic propulgated through the hypocritical zealots is what makes mankind (particularly in this country) numb to the violence and nonacceptance of being different. Given the small numbers quoted above, where is the harm of who and what we choose to be as long as we are civil toward others around us.
