eeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkk eeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkkkk we have mise here in the house in the winter time. It really sucks to not be able to rid ourselves of them. But it is kind of funny how they act more like a pet than a pest.

🤣🤣🤣🤣
Never had one in the potty. We do get them in the garage. And a few times in the kitchen. The end of our street is a cotton field. So, we are used to critters.
I just keep tossing poison bites out. If we see one, I go for the big traps.
You’re story is hilarious.

Have a great day! 💋

I'm not afraid of those things. My fears are the intangible things. The things that rattle around in my skull at night. I do have an irrational dislike of flies.

My name is MrWrong and I approved this comment

It's a good thing you don't live in the south — they have snakes 🐍 climbing up through those bowls 🥣... 😊 👍
Can you imagine? 🤔 😮❗❗❗

El ratón buscaba una "cueva" cálida y no estaba mal encaminado... pero tú no eras la opción correcta... ja, ja. Me dejarías entrar en tu "cueva" a refugiarme del frío???

My wife is like you regarding mice. She will scream and climb up on the nearest chair while screaming for me to do something about it. I just laugh about the tiny size of the mouse, but that makes matters worse.

We have three cats, one that will bring a dead one in the house to show us, then eat it. The other two are not the killer he is, so they bring healthy mice in to play with them. After all these years and many mice I had hoped my wife would adapt to the situation - but no. Eventually, the mouse gets away or they get tired chasing it and kill it. It is the one that gets away - somewhere in the house.

When we crawl into bed at night, she asks the proverbial question: "what if it crawls up on me?" That keeps her awake! My response is always the same: "It has never happened and it won't". Then the next question: "you know we watched a mouse scamper straight up a tree, so climbing up bed covers is easy". I have no logical response to that other than the cats will take care of it.

The last rodent I dealt with ran up my leg as I was trying to shoo him out the door.

That would have freaked me out!
We live in a rural area so rodents are out there. I have a couple of feral cats to keep them at bay. One is very gentle and she frequently offers to share the bounty by leaving headless bodies on my welcome mat.
We put poison bocks in all our vehicles or the rodents will crawl up in the engine compartment and chew thru wires and such.
If you find a hole, stuff steel wool in it. A friend swears they will not chew thru that stuff to get in.

I guess, there was a mouse in the basement of my house, while I was living at another place.
Now, after the divorce, I´m back and see only some old excrements lying under the shelves - but I think - and hope, it died.

A cat could be a cuddle solution, but it will not check the water bowl .
So, better look behind you - or call the brave knight and gallant cavalier, who would be happy to kill or remove any monster/animal which is shocking you . Just tell me ...

Oh my goodness Joy, that is hilarious! I don’t have a mouse in my house… I have a couple families of them - relationship status of the mice not confirmed…

I catch them with traps. I feel so sorry every time I find one squished but they can’t live here! Honestly I don’t blame them though. Play ‘baby it’s cold outside’ lol.

For me, it’s snakes! Yikes. I think of Indiana Jones - ‘why did it have to be snakes’

Best to you Joy! 🤗

well, so probably I'd hide all the chairs and let go a mouse into a closed room with you, and the only option for you would be my arms... hugging me, I'd hug you, with your legs as my belt, my hands would move to your ass... and probably when my lips reach your neck, we'll forget the mouse...

Do you have a mouse in your house?
I've had a few pet rats over the years. I used to work at a pet store, back in the day, that sold them as pets. The first pair I owned came from there, and I not only raised both of them from birth, but both of their mommas from babies also. They're quite intelligent, playful, can learn tricks, and (despite what people think) are very clean. Though TBH, if you have a pair of males... you do have to keep up on cage cleaning a bit more.

Have you ever had one swimming in your toilet bowl?
Nope, but have had a few spiders here and there.

What do you do to try to block the smaller rodents from coming in during the cooler weather?
Never really had the problem, though when I first started living with roommates, a wild mouse found its way inside... when we had six cats at the time! I managed to catch the scared creature and set her free outside. Having a cat or two helps if one does get inside.

Are you afraid of mice, spiders, snakes or rats?
Mice will bite, unless you know how to properly handle them. So will rats, though they are less inclined, unless defending themselves or their young. Snakes? I don't fear them, but they are fragile as a pet unless you have $$$ to shell out for proper care. Spiders? Oh HELL NO! That goes for scorpions as well; if it has eight legs, get it the hell away from me. Big, small, poisonous or not: NO thank you.
