My opinion On Alpha females and Alpha males.

My opinion On Alpha females and Alpha males. Tonight friends and I had a discussion about "Alpha." First we discussed alpha female, then we discussed alpha males.This is what we come up with for alpha female: An alpha female is confident, ambitious and energetic. They don't wait for things to happen to them, an alpha female will makes things happen on there own. Many alpha females think they are attractive, and most we have discovered they are and acting in an alpha manner will improve there life because they will go out and take the things they want. Most "alpha" personality we have discovered are leadership personality. For alpha female to lead they need to be the best at it. Most alpha females tend to be extremely competitive. This doesn't necessarily mean they will be competitive in every part of their lives. This comes from the desire not only to succeed, but to succeed above other people. All alpha female know they are good at what they do. This means they can talk to people without fear, can speak publicly and don't back down when they know they are right. To be in charge, they know that they can do it. After all, if they don't, then they can't expect other people to have faith in them. So, alpha females have high levels of self-confidence. From our discussion alpha females are so goal-driven, they can be extremely aggressive. This is because they know what they want and they don't take kindly to people getting in their way. When they are given the choice between smooth social interactions and achieving their goals, alpha females will choose their goals every time. Alpha female is self-serving. This doesn't mean they're absolutely selfish, but it does mean that they think of themselves first. When they makes decisions, they don't run through a list of who may be offended and what the possible consequences could be. Rather, they just think about whether it's a good decision for them, and they do it. They are not overtly selfish, but they do get what they want. Alpha male: What we discussed about the alpha male: The alpha male is physically strong or well built, he has traits that others males don't have.Most females find them attractive. They are willing to fight aggressively, physically if need be, for what they have and want, and to maintain there status. Most of the time, he is confident. What we have discussed as well is that many alpha males associate being the dominant male with money, because they want a solid financial status usually that person engage in more activities, meet more people or acquire things others want and admire. Potential partners also usually like to see that a man is in a good financial position before they commit to a relationship with him. Alpha males who have this title typically are very well groomed, like being the center of attention, act both suave and cocky, excel at there work place and are able to get along with many different types of people. Other male's might describe him as a "lady's man" or a "man's man," they think that way because of how many women are attracted to them, and most of the other men want to be like them and look to them for behavioral cues. Alpha males will achieve their status by using their physical strength to overpower weaker competitors. They also use superior intelligence to outwit others, in some cases this manifests as verbal threats or psychological manipulation.  |

I pretty much agree with the alpha female, but am more inclined to believe an alpha male uses his physicality to dominate and they are not typically very intelligent. The extremely intelligent and powerful men are not always alpha in the physical sense...many of them are more cerebral, introverted, quiet types, in my opinion...but I do get where you are coming from.

seems tome this is an alpha females point of view ,which in turn has been well written ,cudos how many men and woman contributed to this analagy?

There was 4 of us to start 2 females 2 males then a few other females and males joined in as we were discussing this subject.

I have that is why I say what I do...I do not believe the physical ones who call themselves alpha are all that intelligent...they just think they are. The so-called alpha males that call themselves alpha males are more hype than anything and I have no respect for them, because they really do not know how to use intelligence to win over a crowd. The real alpha males...the ones I respect and consider to be true alphas have a way about them that is not arrogant or cocky and their dominance/ command speaks for itself. They are also able to outwit a physical alpha male. They tend to not be the meathead type. The only differences I have from what is described is the intelligence, wealth, and power aspects... I do believe there are anomalies in every archetype so of course there are some physical alphas that have every characteristics, but I do not believe they are the norm in the category. But again that is just my opinion, I am sure most people believe the physical presence and outspoken attitude constitute alpha...I just do not.

Yes. Look at Obama - the alpha-est of alphas! He hardly conforms with the idea that "Alpha males will achieve their status by using their physical strength to overpower weaker competitors." Alphas are individuals who make decisions, and people defer to them. It's just about position in a hierarchy - and nothing to do with physical prowess or a propensity for violence. Take a look at sports - very often people will comment about the presence, or lack , of someone who will lead the team. Very often not the fittest, fastest, strongest, cleverest or indeed most gifted - but the person team mates will turn to at moments of stress.

Since you brought up clan and such. If you look back in history clan leader weren't necessarily alpha's. The leadership of a clan is usually passed down from father to son. That being said if a clan member want to take leadership away they challenge the leader for leadership.son therefore an alpha. Head of state they are elected into there position so whoever voted for them people didn't vote for them because they were alpha's. I agree with FullOn4u of some of what you say. I wrote this cause we were sitting around talking about. It's my opinion of what alpha are or what they are suppose to be. Thank you for your comment it is very interesting to read.
