Have you had a similar experience when someone failed to read your Entire profile before they jump in to DEEP end of the pool, unprepared for your response to their email?

Similar experience? You're preaching to the choir!

Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

Good Q.
Your profile is VERY detailed and tells anyone whatever they might want to know about you.
The trouble is people HERE and on the rest of the planet - want the 'Shorter than the Cole's Version'. In other words - the least possible words humanly possible.
You can't tell everyone everything about yourself in the amount of words required to satisfy their attention span - which is about 5 seconds?
So... Ya either can't expect people to read your whole profile and accept the consequences - and live with those who have the patience to actually invest the time to do so.
OR...
Ya shorten your profile so that it becomes a quick 'sales pitch' and 'ad'' for creating interest - rather than , having it become the; history of YOU.

I used to have a detailed profile and THAT didn't work. I shortened to a quick summary and I direct people to my blog - where I can actually tell people more about myself ; through my opinions or stories or ... whatever.
If someone takes the time to go to my blog - then I know I have an interested buyer, so to speak.

In any case... to each his own - right?
Bottom line: People don't read profiles. And if they do - they want a shortened version of one. Like a TV guide, so to speak.
At least, that's what I think, based on what I've seen here.
Sorry for the verbiage. Four cups of coffee will do that to me...
Best of luck !
