My called me up and asked me if I wanted to go on a date with some hot women!!! Are you... My called me up and asked me if I wanted to go on a date with some hot women!!! Are you kidding me I said... Or course... I can do that, and be polite and not act like an animal... But, you all don't know my ... so, she tricked me, yet again... I don't know how she does it, but she does... anyway, she asked me to meet her at the Dallas Aquarium... on a Saturday awhile back at 11:00 am... Sure I said... I can be there... I'm all excited... I get some comfy clothes on 'cause it is still wonderfully hot in the great state of Texas... I luv the hot weather... don't care much for the cold weather... just because you put lipstick on a pig don't mean squat to me... just sayin'... well... it turns out that my is an activities coordinator for an alzheimer's & dementia facility and she needed volunteers to accompany some of the residents... she had it all planned out, but, sometimes, you lose the volunteers... I kind of thought it might be something like that, but, I went along with it... You know... when you have a good life... you believe that you have lived a good life... and, maybe, just maybe, it is time to pay it forward... so, sometimes I do 'crazy stuff' like this... there is no sex in the air... Only, the ability to give the most precious gift that I know to give a person, which is my 'personal' time... and, you end up learning things about yourself when you spend two hours with perfect strangers, helping them experience something other than their routine in a facility... It is so rewarding to see the smiles on their faces when they see the interesting creatures all around... there were manatees, sloths, birds, fish, sharks, eels, manta rays... and penguins... everybody loved the penguins. the area where they have them is open to the outdoors but, the water that they swim in is very cold... and, they have a cool area that they spend most of their time in... It was so good for me to see these people smiling and enjoying the things that we take for granted... I'll have to say that one needs to be very patient with them, as they ask the same questions over and over... it reminds me of my grandkids... I think I have read 'Brown Bear, Brown Bear' a million times... and, now, one of them is reading the book to me... What a great post that shows more about the real you! Giving back is so rewarding and you never know when you may need someone to do the same for you. All it took was your time which is a precious gift. Your daughter sounds terrific and knows when she can count on you to do the 'right' thing.

Hello curious woman... I started young... when people ask me... I tell them, that I started at 14, and of course, eye brows are raised... but, you know women... they are always calculating this or working that and they will say things like 'what about the yapa'... you know what I am talking about... still... thanks for your comments... Yes, I do have two wonderful grandsons... one is 6 and one is 4... I've read books to them, since they were born... and, now, the weirdest thing happened earlier in the year... the eldest, sat me down and read one of the books to me from cover to cover... mostly memorization, but still, I was impressed... thanks again for your comments...
