Equality...And....Balance

First of all, this blog is not intended to offend or accuse. It is an observation of as flawed an individual as anyone out there in the world. It is an observation nonetheless. For many years, and still today, men in general have had their way.
Men are stronger physically usually and are more prone to violence, tend to have the most money and the power. This isn't balance. We need to teach our young men about balance and how to treat other people with respect. To allow them to express feelings without violence. Allow them to be their whole selves not just the macho idea society has put on them like a straight-jacket. There is MUCH room for improvement. It HAS to be done. Our world is demanding it. If men were allowed to be in touch with both sides of ourselves, the masculine and the feminine the world would be altered not only with relations between men and women but consideration for the environment and economic equality as well.

As I said, we need to teach our men how to be decent human beings. Many men say hurtful things to women and are definitely guilty of body shaming which is the subject I am getting to. Unfortunately there is a lot of it going on. And there is no excuse for a man giving shit to a woman and calling her names because she is not interested in him. That is beyond childish. We as a species need to grow up. I feel that women are ahead of us on this one.

The disturbing thing to me is that upon looking at the profiles here I see a certain amount of women resorting to body shaming as well. Now, I get it. It's your turn. I do understand. Now, I don't look at men's profiles. I don't know if they say if you are fat don't bother contacting but I am seeing women's profiles that say that. If a man says something like that to a woman he is a pig, a misogynist. If a woman says that to a man does that mean it is just her preference so too bad? I have seen that written as well. If a man says if you don't have big tits don't bother he is an asshole. If a woman says if you don't have 8 inches and thick don't bother that is just my preference is that balance? I am looking to find balance not fault. I am not arguing whether someone has preferences or not. We all do but how do we say it? We ALL need to find this place where we can treat each other better. I know, I know. Women have had to put up with this inequality for at least 2000 years. I understand the want to push back and to treat men the same way that they were and still very much are treated. But, when I look at a profile of someone I think I might like to be with it diminishes me (as we have diminished women) to have someone say the things I am seeing on profiles. Forget about the sexes for a moment. That doesn't seem like the way to go toward all of us being able to get along and enjoy each other personally , emotionally and sexually. Women have every right to mimic the oppressor but.... do you want too?

Some have proposed that the patriarchy, in the context of the whole of human history, is a relatively recent phenomenon, and if this be the case, then the effects of this phenomenon, if they be the effects, are less engrained in our collective unconscious than their inverse attributes. (We can change?)

The barrier to what me might call change as I see it is the number of moving parts. Maybe just try to be the change you want to see and operate on the laws of attraction and impact the world in the individual capacity. Nevertheless, thought-provoking ideas.
