February really sucks

I am hoping that it is just a coincidence, but my past 2 February's have been challenging to say the least.

2011, put me through a break-up that really affected me. Thought she was the love of my life, but she didn't have the same feelings. I'll leave the rest of the details private.

2012, gave me another unexpected surprise. The company that I have worked for the past 12+ years laid me off yesterday.

The similarity between the two was a misread of the signs leading up to each. So just needed a place to bitch and figured this was as good as anyplace.

 I'm so sorry to hear of your job loss. That's always painful to go through, but hopefully you'll find a new position quickly.

Thanks for the good wishes. Sure that something will come through, as I told a friend today. I'm going to take a breath, weigh what lies ahead, and move forward. Have a few weeks of transition, then covered financially for a few months afterwards.
