Healthcare for all

Our health care system in the U.S. costs twice as much as other countries and has worse outcomes on average. We need to change. Many are driven to bankruptcy by medical costs and expensive drugs even with insurance. Deductibles, copays and other costs are out of control.

We need to get to Medicare for all, that costs much less and works well. We can intro it for the 55 to 65 year olds and let people choose to move over to single payer health care. If poor countries in Europe, Canada, New Zealand and Australia can do it, the U.S. can. We need to stop giving billions to health insurance companies and drug companies that suck money from the health system.

Employers can pay half as much to get better care with Medicare for all. Let the unions keep their better insurance but they will come around eventually.

We can afford better health care if we stop wasting money on forms and coverage fights.

"We can afford better health care if we stop wasting money on forms and coverage fights."

Not to mention walls

Some Americans seem to think that if health care is free that everyone will go to the doctor all the time. The reality is that most people don't like going to the doctor. In Australia there are often advertising campaigns to get people to get various illnesses treated.

Many things get worse if treatment is delayed, so early treatment keeps costs down. The few people who might go to the doctor frivolously don't make a significant difference.

Following my advice may cause injury, insanity, financial loss, hemorrhoids, death and superpowers

Walls do not stop asylum seekers. Or trade. Or drugs in cars at entry ports.

There will be a transition to Medicare for all. But getting there is the goal.
