I May Be Wrong But I Doubt It

You know the kind of people I mean.

They exist in every walk of life.

They have an opinion about Everything

They think because of who they are, they can't possibly be wrong.

They will still argue even when provided with indisputable facts.

They will say controversial things just t.o get a reaction from others.

They are annoying, bombastic, creative, bug the heck out of you and yet are often unforgettable.

One of the most well-known uses of this phrase is the title of a memoir from former American professional basketball player Charles Barkley, published in 2002.

It's become a popularized catchphrase and put on everything from bars of soap to coffee mugs and sweatshirts. Often, the person's name or occupation is added below.

Have you encountered people like this?
How did you handle them?

I know many people like this even one of my own sisters thinks she's right about everything, and this is one of the many reasons I have nothing to do with her. People who are like this there is just no talking to them..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

I might be guilty once in a while. I try not to be that person, but sometimes I say something before thinking about how it might make the person I am correcting feel. I do try to not insist that I am right when facts prove otherwise.

Yes I do. Live right across from one of two in this apartment building. I completely ignore them.

Humans are the most dangerous animals on earth.

If only animals had the ability to know when to keep away from us humans they would be better off.

having an opinion means they have an opinion any other meaning you attach to that is your issue not theirs..............

they let you know, in their OPINION.

Have you encountered people like this? Our recently dumped president is like that

How did you handle them? Ignore them unless they serve some useful purpose.

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

I think everyone knows someone like that. Personally I try not to let people know how smart I am since a) it intimidates them and b) they think I'm bragging. The only time it really comes out is when I'm playing trivia games and even then I try to reign it in.

Someone already beat me to it, but we voted him the hell out last year.

Come to think of it, I don't believe I know anyone like that. Of if I do know someone, I don't remember them.

I was in my own little social bubble even before the pandemic! haha!

Effective communication includes awareness. Accepting facts is something that some seem to struggle with.

My son was one of those 'why?' kids too. He didn't do it in a belligerent way, he was just curious about everything. This post wasn't about those kinds of questions but thanks for stopping by and sharing your experience. You never know when a post may raise different perspectives.

'Selective' memory can be an effective strategy. So you were a social innovator and didn't need to change for Covid
