Agony Uncle Being the ever charitable and genial soul that I am, I have decided to offer my agony uncle services to everyone reading this  Simply put, if you have a problem and nobody else can help (and assuming that the A-Team are unavailable) then ask me and I will attempt to solve your dilemma  Be it relationship issues, stress in your work place, a tricky DIY problem, cookery tips or else some deep seated psychological disorder which has resulted in you being sectioned under the mental health act, tell me your woes and I will do my very best to sort them. Aren't I nice eh?   |

Well, the only true way is when he is laying in a coffin to be honest But seriously, in relation to the brief scenario you related, I would personally be highly reluctant to casually extend the benefit of the doubt to such an individual as you relayed, not least given his past shenanigans. This is an all too common problem in our society Bunty and one which sufferers are invariably too embarrassed to talk about Indeed, I myself have on occasion, found my tongue idly caressing glass whilst sitting in vehicles. Fear not however, for there is help for this unhappy condition; I have found that by smearing distasteful food substances upon my windows, I am less likely to run my tongue over them. Try it, it really works I should just point out here that said remedy should be balanced with common sense however ‒ as a rule, covering the front windscreen of ones car could prove potentially hazardous to driving visibility and the police would likely be somewhat unsympathetic to our condition if we were to cause an accident

He has a LTR, I have been married for 10 years and because I have developed feelings for another, I'm ending my marriage October 1st. I only see this guy a few times a month, so I'm definately not leaving for anyone but myself. My marriage would be another paragraph, or so. On the other hand, there is a possibility that your partner could potentially be experiencing stress in his home life and/or the workplace and is ill advisedly and very unfairly venting his frustrations at someone he feels he can get away with it, in this case yourself. Neither of the above potential scenarios are equitable on you whatsoever of course and neither should you stand for it. Again, no one has the right to treat you in such a deplorable manner. You are a very wise man, indeed. This does explain a alot. The last few times he told me my pussy always stinks, I'm mean really? So he's trying to make me think I have a problem so I don't screw anyone else? Makes perfect sense from this type of man. He does seem the jealous type and I'm a pretty hot lady for my age! My only advice would be to seriously consider your reasons for wishing to do so and in addition, the potential consequences; Certainly, in relationships there is often an ongoing temptation to stray as it were but ultimately it is up to the individual if they choose to act upon these urges and go through with it. I'm sorry that this advice is somewhat ambiguous, but I would definitely stop and really think about this one before taking any action

Ah ha! Sensitive teeth are a speciality of mine in fact A number of options present themselves for this one depending upon the cause of the sensitivity. Firstly, whilst the teeth are sensitive, try switching to a softer bristled toothbrush and remember to brush gently, not least of all on any specific teeth affected. Secondly, avoid as best possible both very cold and very hot foods and drinks which may well be painful to consume and aggravate the situation. Remember, sensitive teeth often serve as warning signs for other dental problems so if the problem persists for any length of time it is important to visit a dentist. Ok, here's one for you.. I ended up getting together with this guy. We had agreed to remain friends regardless of the attraction between us. The line didn't hold for us long and in a very short time, we were inseparable. Yes, we did do some things on our own, and occasionally even spent a night away from one another. When I'd get back, you thought it had been months instead of hours since he'd seen me. We were together about a month and ended on good terms. He said we could see where we were when he got back. Work sent him away and he wont be state side again for at least six months. (Why the original "Just Friends" had been agreed upon) He promised to write while he was gone, but hadn't. When I wrote him, he replied with not wanting to talk at all. How our relationship got more serious than we had intended, and disappeared. Then I get a very random email from him a few weeks later. What does it mean?? If he doesn't want to talk, why write me?? I need a mans brain to figure him out I think.. Any advice/comments appreciated. ~Becca

Unfortunately, it sometimes occurs that one partner may be capricious as regards the nature/goal of the relationship. One moment they may yearn for a soul mate whilst the next they suddenly wish to cool things down or else end proceedings altogether. Certainly, such whimsical behaviour is entirely unfair on the other party who is invariably left up in the air so to speak and baffled as regards where matters are actually heading. It seems to me that the person you speak of may be guilty of the aforesaid indecisive behaviour for reasons best known to himself. My advice is to take the reigns in effect and decide what is best for you. Weigh up if this is a relationship that you would like to pursue/rekindle. If upon said reflection you believe it is inadvisable then I would suggest taking full control by explaining your decision to the person in question. Of course, this does not preclude the possibility of a platonic friendship still but this again, should be your decision and one which you should set the rules to. I hope this helps

So, my dear Uncle, I once again have a situation and am in need of help. I have a "Survey" of sorts that I have been trying to gather information for, but apparently, my subject is Too controversial. I knew when I chose the topic, response would be difficult, but I didn't think it would be this bad. Any ideas on how to people to respond?? I almost have to set up a table on campus and catch people as they go to lunch.. Not sure that would work any better.. Oh yeah, my topic is abortion.

Here's a tip that may help though; Studies have found that a good place to canvas and gather information from people is in cafeterias, as the patrons will be both already seated and more relaxed. Libraries to in my experience, serve as a good location to approach people for surveys etc. As a rule, people are generally less likely to wish to be stopped if they are on the move as it were so the best bet therefore is to catch them when they are already stationary as in the above examples. I hope that this may help and that your study is successful

There may be a number of reasons for erecting invisible barriers around ourselves in certain areas in life; Certainly, one common example is that we sometimes do so in order to ward off potential perpetrators who may cause us emotional hurt thus it is a self defence mechanism in effect. As regards overcoming this and the subsequent socializing, I would recommend to make a point of gradually indoctrinating yourself into perhaps once every week going out with friends in order to overcome this aversion before maybe up'ing this to more days when you feel ready. Having said that, there's nothing inherently wrong in enjoying one's own company whatsoever though and it is in fact I believe a great strength to be independent. I hope that this helps

My kitty cat's hair is falling out...Stop perving MGC...It's my kitty cat, Spooky. Her fur is falling out. I've tried several different types of food in case it's allergies. It returns temporarily, then starts to get really thin again. Any ideas? Although the symptoms can be quite alarming, there are often very simply causes for said condition. Food allergies are indeed one possibility; Certainly it would seem that said allergy is not likely something you are giving her, rather possibly a food source she is obtaining elsewhere - does she hunt outside for instance? Other than that, another possible cause could be temperature based. Does she sleep near a radiator? Certainly hotter temps will likely cause a cats hair to thin as it's body is effectively 'tricked' into believing it is time to malt

The problem I'm having right now I'm afraid no one can really help me with. I have a pet that is injured and the vet says he needs a surgery I can't afford, we discussed options and basicly we can't amptate his leg because with his size and prior arthritis he wouldn't do good withone back leg. We tried pain meds and we can continue with them but they are very expensive and he's still getting worse even with the meds. So the vet says it's either the surgery or putting him down. And I'm struggling with the decision. He's such a good boy and even in pain he ain't being snappy or growly. It's just a horrible position to be in to make this decision. (lol hope you are a animal lover or you might be rolling your eyes at me) So see guess no one can fix it but it did help to talk about it a bit, now if only someone else could make the decision for me. ~~Fuzzy~~

Vets are much like doctors; No two will give you exactly the same prognosis and whilst one may approach a problem/condition from a decidedly pessimistic vantage point, offering only negative options, another will invariably aspire for a more favourable outcome by exploring all possible choices. Likewise, so to will costs/payment options very much vary between different veterinary practices, again another reason that I very much advise to seek out a second opinion. I sincerely hope that this may help and that the situation resolves for the best outcome both for you and your pet

Love it! What a fabulous idea for a sticky post  Would developing wild cravings for *things* you see but can never have be considered a problem? Oh! Hello Intriguing and a warm welcome to my blog Thank you so much for your kind words also I'm afraid that I'm not a watcher of Coronation Street - I'm more of a Sci-Fi fan or Geek as we are sometimes called lol As regards open relationships however, I believe that they, much like the arrangements of so called, 'Friends with benefits' and 'FB's', are invariably problematic or in the worst case scenarios, prone to failure purely on account of our basic human natures exactly as you cited i.e. one partner wishing to 'progress' from the initial mutual agreement or else conversely, to 'digress' somewhat. In regards to open relationships specifically, there is of course also frequently the issue of jealousy and insecurity relating to who the other partner chooses to spend time with. Certainly, this is not to say that any such relationship is doomed from the offset however, rather that it requires absolute trust and precise communication on behalf of both (or more) parties in the inception of any such relationship undertaking. I hope that this may be of some help?

The Shed is banned? Were there any particularly inflammatory topics on discussion at the time of deletion? I'd definitely keep pestering the site admin in regards to this and demand to know exactly what was so offensive as to have provoked this. These things are usually minor as it happens but the fact that someone has taken the time to issue a complaint invariably sets the site police on red alert (with subsequent hasty and ill judged actions on their part) just so as to appear to be doing something. Um....now that I have said this though, I wouldn't be at all surprised if I suddenly disappear from the site to
