Back-up your phone first and after you have checked your back-up file if everything you want is there, do a factory reset.

A factory reset will restore your phone to as if it was new. You will lose all data.

On your P9 there is - should be - an app "Backup". Use that one.
More info: https://consumer.huawei.com/sg/support/backup/

Or use the search query "huawai P30 desktop backup" in your favourite browser.

Note: I'm not a Huawai user.

To my best knowledge a factory reset deletes all data, changes, and settings made by the user from the phone.
You write you have performed a factory reset, have you checked the picture folder, your address book, any bookmarks, your WhatsApp folder? When any of these are gone/empty, you can leave the phone at their tech support shop because there's nothing to view. I'd suggest you check for yourself first before you discard the phone and buy a new one.
